Blog feedback and learner response

WWW: Wow – what an impressive start to GCSE Media! From pretty much the first blog task (key concept film poster analysis) you are writing in real depth and detail. This suggests to me that you are taking time over your homework and making sure you are analysing in depth, exploring the different meanings that are created. In addition, your Photoshop fruit bowl is absolutely stunning and shows real creative skill. This design skill will be valuable for the 30% coursework element of GCSE Media Studies.

EBI: One aspect I’d mention is that looking at your key concepts film poster analysis you have slightly misunderstood the representation key concept. This is not a problem – we haven’t studied it yet! – but one to keep an eye on later this term when we look at representations in the media. Another aspect to focus on is your written English as accurate spelling, punctuation and grammar is important for all GCSE subjects.

LR: Create a new blogpost on your Media blog called ‘Blog feedback and Learner Response’. Copy and paste this feedback into your blogpost then complete the LR tasks/questions below.

Reflect on your first month of Media. What do you feel is your strongest piece of work so far? What is your weakest? What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop over the rest of the course? How can you improve the depth and detail of your media analysis?

i like media its very interesting am happy that i chose it as a GCSE subject. i think the hardest blog task was maybe the first one we did (key concept film poster )  i also think i did well on it .  the example  analysis  - doctor who  and the camera shot and editing maybe  , also because we just learned them  so probably need more practise on  editing  , so am able to write more about it . practise writing more  so i can improve and read examples more about  the subject or the work .
