GCSE Media Paper 1 mock exam

 1) Type up any comments/WWW/EBI from your teacher. You don't need to write your total number of marks if you don't want to. -Need more of the good connotation  - Avoid repetition  -Provide evidence  -Refer to CSPs in depth  2) Write a question-by-question analysis of your performance. For each question, write how many marks you got from the number available and identify any points that you missed by carefully studying the AQA indicative content in the mark scheme:  Q2: 4/8 marks Mention codes, like visual, verbal (words), photographical codes and explain what they can connote like comedic funny, use CAGE like race and ethnicity and diversity, use typography (slogan) and finally talk about narrative codes and use Todorov theory.  Q3: Use camerawork + mise-en-scene and nostalgia , talk about the final part which is the slogan "why have cotton when you can have silk" and use Propp and character types.  Q4: talk about stereotypes and race and ethnicity and Audrey subvert

EBIs:  -Provide evidence from extract in Q1.3 - explain points more and how they communicate - revise CSPs and newspaper ownership Read through the official AQA mark scheme for this exam. This is very helpful as the paper was a real past exam paper and therefore the mark scheme tells us a lot about what AQA are expecting us to produce.
